The Hope Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated toempowering individuals andcommunities affected byconflict, poverty, and socialinjustice.
Hope Institute's mission began in response to the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan, where decades of conflict have displaced millions and left communities vulnerable.
Initially focused on capacity building and empowerment of the vulnerable groups, the organization expanded its scope to include;
Social services including (WASH, education, primary healthcare, economic empowerment, food security and livelihoods.
Advocacy programs including (democracy & good governance, conflict resolutions and peace building.
Our mission is toprovide comprehensive support,advocacy, and developmentprograms that foster hope,resilience, and self-sufficiency.

A brief history of "HOPE INSTITUTE"
2012: HELP OUR PEOPLE ENLIGHTEN
Hope Institute (HI) was initiated in 2012 by Nasir Community Development Agency (NCDA) as a Capacity Development Project (Help Our People Enlighten) Abbreviated as (HOPE) with focus on women and youth empowerment and advocacy for children and women’s rights. HI advocates on promoting programs relevant to women groups and youth, such approach have raised profile of women and their experience and strengthened the capacity of the organized youth and women groups that enabled them effectively plan, design and manage their own development programs. As a project, HI implemented number of youth and women empowerment program in Nasir County under its mother organization (NCDA) including; establishment of Hope Child Center that provide services to vulnerable children and women as well as Hope Youth Multi-Purpose Center that provides skills training to women in youth including tailoring, block production, fishery project etc. HOPE has been promoting human rights and awareness creation on various themes including child protection, SGBV and hygiene promotion through Nasir Based Radio Station (Sobat FM), one of the NCDA/HOPE’ initiatives.2021: HOPE INSTITUTE
It was renamed (Hope Institute) and independently registered with RRC as per NGOs Act (2016) as a Civil Society (Think-Tank) Organization in 2021. The organization aims to provide a platform for information sharing, exchange of ideas, knowledge creation and dissemination, and creating partnerships among civil society and the government in order to individually and collectively develop evidence-based solutions to the pressing governance and development challenges facing South Sudan today through awareness creation, research and advocacy as well as promote peaceful coexistence through community dialogue. HI aims at the increased presence of women in leadership, with a focus on quality and capacity that works towards creation of a more conducive social, political, economic and democratic environment for equal participation of all citizens.2022: EXPANDING HORIZONS:
Hope Institute work with International Partners, government institutions, youth and women groups, small and medium-size enterprises and communities to help ensure that all residents of the country have an opportunity of becoming part of the sustainable economy as well as produce outcomes that increase the quality of life through skill development and capacity building initiatives. Hope Institute is a trainer providers and has been providing Capacity Building Training and business consulting assistance to Government and Private Institutions. Capacity Building training has been offered to Upper Nile State Constitutional Post holders including; Executive/Cabinet and Legislature, local government and civil servants. Our main target groups including those affected by conflict, victims of human rights abuse and violations especially vulnerable women and children.2023: Pioneering the future:
Today, HI is providing Legal Aid (Access to Justice) to the most vulnerable groups in community specially the women affected by the conflicts and natural calamities.
