LEGAL AID
This project aims to enhance the capacity of local administration officials (Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs) Local Government Officers and to create awareness to women who are victims of human rights violations including; SGBV and property and inheritance rights in Upper Nile State. A JCC will be established in Malakal and Renk towns to address women’s property and inheritance rights violations and to create awareness among communities with a focus on women that are victims of human rights violations in these areas.
Hope Institute Provides legal advice and legal representation in both civil and criminal cases, as well as administrative matters for the most vulnerable women and girls, SGBV survivors, elderly, persons with disabilities including IDPs and returnees;

Establish and operationalize time bound JCCs in Malakal, Renk, Nasir & Maban that are capable of fully disposing or concluding cases undertaken in a timely, trauma informed, gender and victim sensitive manner;
PROJECT Result:
over 65% legal cases represented.
over 200 people reached with services.
