CAPACITY BUILDING
This project is part of peace-building mechanism in Upper Nile State. Present of constitutional post holders in a functioning local government, motivates and guarantee return of the IDPs and refugees to their respective homes. The purpose of the center is to help leverage local government authorities’ officials conducting their work and disseminate their report through internet transmission. The resource center will be the basic tool for the local authority to carry out their institutional mandates. HI partnered with Upper Nile State government in capacity building with an objective to enhance performance of the local government through provision of information dissemination and communication equipment.

“Support good governance by facilitating the delivery of public administrative functions, basic social services and infrastructure and promoting community livelihoods and resilience
PROJECT Result:
Over 200 Government officials are efficiently & effectively carryout their duties.
PEACE BUILDING
The purpose of the center is to help the idle youth acquire skills and knowledge that will enable them finding alternative livelihoods hence address conflict arising from lack of employment. The resource center will be the basic tool for the local youth to gain skills. The center will also serve as a training facility for the proposed elections in 2024 as the facilities that will be installed will aid the capacity building efforts of the UN mission and the government, thus serving as a tool for promoting democratic ethos, good governance and inclusivity for all groups including the most vulnerable segments of the population.
